(1) December,1996 to Now: South China Branch, Sun Microsystems China Ltd

Position: Senior Systems Engineer
Responsibility:

• Technically focused on Sun cluster system, high end server (Enterprise 10000) and storage, performance tuning and benchmark, capacity planning.  Solaris, Internet, and Java are also involved as a common requirement.  The major focused industry is telecommunication.
• Providing professional technical support for important customers, resellers and partners, on products such as Sun Cluster 2.x, server, workstation, storage, Solaris, Veritas Volume Manager, Solstice Backup, Netscape Enterprise Web Server, TCP/IP, Sunlink X.25, NFS, etc. Problem debugging, performance tuning, capacity planing, installation, configuration, and software development assistance are often involved.
• Providing technical consulting service on various database and Internet applications in telecommunication area, such as ISP, mobile telephone billing system, decision support system, telecommunication management network (TMN), Call Center, etc. Solution designing, capacity planing and performance analysis are often involved.

(2) August,1989 to November,1996: Nantian Electronic Information Group Company

    Nantian Electronic Information Group Company is the largest SI in banking area in China. It is also the partner of HP, Unisys, Sun, Sequent, Bay, Cisco and Informix. I did various works there.

Position 1: Project manager
Responsibility:

• Leading a team of 5 programmers, designed and developed a banking saving online transaction system for Yunnan Branch, Bank of China.  C, Informix and UNIX shell were used. Myself also designed and programmed TCP/IP communication software using TLI.
• Leading a team of 4 programmers, designed and developed a postal saving system for Yunnan Post and Telecommunication Administration.  C, C++, Informix and UNIX shell were used. Myself also designed and programmed TCP/IP communication software using TLI.
• Designing solutions for banking application.

• Programming for banking transaction application. Including saving system and accounting system. Usually C, C++ and Informix ESQL/C are used.
• Designing and programming communication software, using Socket or TLI interface, to transfer banking transaction message.
• Attended many banking projects, such as: General Online Transaction System for head quarter of Bank of China; IBM 4700 Emulation System for Jilin Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China; Online Saving System for Shanxi Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
• Technical support on UNIX, Informix, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN(DDN) and Unisys U6000 systems.
• Trainer on Unisys System V System Administration, Informix Online Server and ESQL/C programming, C programming

2. Educational Background

(1) BS in CS. Sept,1984 - July,1989
    Department of Computer Science, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). USTC is one of the most famous universities in China, especially in science and technology fields.

(2) Training in international companies: Sun Microsystems, Unisys, Informix, Bay Networks, Sequent.

3. Summary
    I have nine year's working experience in computer industry.

• Programming Language:  much working experience with C, C++, UNIX shell and SQL. Also has experience in Java and Pascal.
• Operating System:  much working experience with Solaris, Unisys System V, SCO Unix, and Sequent Dynix/ptx. System administration, performance tuning, trouble shooting and advanced programming.
• Database: much working experience with Informix and ESQL/C.
• Network: TCP/IP administration and programming (Socket or TLI), Ethernet, DDN, X.25.
• Internet and Intranet: capacity planing, architecture designing, trouble shooting, and performance analysis. Mainly for Sun and Netscape products.
• Application Development: Banking transaction software, Project management.
